Terms of Use

1. What Carvn is

Carvn is a travel journal that runs on your own device. You log an expedition, mount photographs you took, write or dictate a memoir, and render a single printable page that you can keep, share or export.

2. Your content stays yours

Journey entries, mounted plates, voice reflections and rendered pages are stored only in Carvn's private folder on your device. Carvn does not upload them, publish them to a feed, or show them to other travelers, because there is no traveler directory.

3. Road credits

Road credits are consumable in-app purchases used to generate rendered pages.

• One credit is deducted only when a page is generated successfully.
• Drafts, edits, re-saving and exporting a finished page never cost credits.
• Credits do not expire and have no cash value.
• Purchases are billed to your App Store account and cannot be transferred.

4. Refunds

Refund requests for consumable credits are handled by Apple under the App Store Terms and Conditions. Contact Apple Support for a billing question about a purchase made in Carvn.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to record only material you have a right to keep and share, and not to use Carvn to store or distribute unlawful content, or content that infringes another person's rights.

6. No account, no sign-in

Carvn has no registration step and no server-side profile. Your display name and portrait are local labels used to head your own ledger; they are never transmitted.

7. Changes to the app

Carvn is provided as-is. Features may be added or retired between versions. A layout that exists in one release is not a guarantee that it will exist in the next.

8. Ending your use

Deleting the app, or using Delete Account inside the app, erases your entries, plates, voice reflections, rendered pages and remaining credit balance from that device. Erasure is local and irreversible.

9. Governing terms

These terms are supplemented by the standard Apple Terms of Use that apply to every app downloaded from the App Store, including the restriction of use to the licensed device.
